The Truffle Dinner

Lavish your senses and crown the festive season at Beckon’s inaugural white truffle dinner.

The first night in our Five Nights anniversary celebration is in collaboration with Alex Hong (Sorrel - San Francisco, CA) and Matt Dulin (GetRights Bakery - Wheat Ridge, CO).

Indulge in a meal of over-the-top enjoyment featuring the star of the winter culinary season:
Alba White Truffles. These rare treasures come from the Piedmont region, also where Barolo, the King of Wines, has been cultivated for generations.
Alongside a bounty of truffles, we are offering an optional pairing of outstanding wines of Northern Italy: the best Franciacorta; aged Barbera by top producers; epic, single cru Nebbiolo from at least three different decades; and luscious Vin Santo to conclude. 


This seating option is communal, at our chef’s counter in the kitchen, within intimate company of your dining neighbor.
The Truffle Dinner dining experience features an abundance of multiple courses; please plan on an approximately three hour engagement. We offer online booking to all curious diners and intimate parties of 1-4 guests.

ABOUT ALEX HONG

Colorado native Alex Hong first discovered his love for cooking through his aunt and uncle, a pair of Missouri farmers who shared homegrown produce and cooked simple farm to table dishes with the family on their frequent visits. 

Alex took his appreciation for these moments to his career path, and attended The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. After graduating, he worked in the kitchens of Jean-Georges in New York City, Quince in San Francisco, and Frasca Food and Wine in Boulder, Colorado.

In 2012, Alex began to operate his own emerging concept, Sorrel, as a pop-up in a small boutique Hotel in Union Square. During three years of pop-up service, he began the process of opening the brick-and-mortar Sorrel location in Presidio Heights.

In 2018, Alex was nominated for the James Beard Rising Star Award and received three and a half stars from long time restaurant critic Michael Bauer from the San Francisco Chronicle. Around the same time, he and the Sorrel team were able to secure Sorrel's status as a One-Star Michelin restaurant.

At Sorrel, Chef Alexander Hong offers local-Californian inspired cuisine with authentic & vibrant Italian influences. We believe in only working with superior, fresh, organic & local ingredients that Bay Area farmers markets and our rooftop garden have to offer. We work with the seasonal harvest in an effort to showcase each distinguishable and perfectly in-season ingredient.

 
 

ABOUT MATT DULIN

Matt Dulin is an Arizona born, Colorado raised Chef and owner of GetRight's Bakery, who's made his mark in the baking and pastry world after 18 years as a savory cook in restaurants across the American West. 

He initially refined his culinary skills with his greatest mentor, Chef Brian Konefal, at Coppa Cafe in Flagstaff, AZ. A hyper seasonal restaurant inspired by the flavors of the southern Arizona deserts and pine forests of Flagstaff. During this time his hobby of baking sourdough breads at home also began to take a new form. Creating a bread program for another restaurant in Flagstaff was his first attempt at baking and selling within a professional setting. 

Then returning to Colorado Matt landed a job with Tommy Lee at Uncle Restaurant where he gained new knowledge of opening restaurants from a management perspective. With the arrival of the pandemic, Matt began pursuing his own dreams after seeing just how fragile life was and started GetRight's, a bakery and plant shop in his home kitchen. Over the course of the next 3 years, he developed his menu, taught himself how to make croissants and many other pastries and began building a customer base by offering weekly deliveries and doing pop ups and selling at farmers markets on weekends.

GetRight’s  The brick and mortar shop, GetRight's Bakery, opened in May of 2023 with great reception by its neighborhood residents in Wheat Ridge. Chef Matt and his team at GetRight's strive to raise the bar for bakeries in Denver, combining the sweet and savory realms in ways that aren't often seen in the states. GetRight's offers an extensive selection of pastry and viennoiserie, specialty sandwiches, soups and savory bites, often utilizing produce from neighboring farms in Wheat Ridge and west Denver as well as from Chef Matt's home garden.
